Welcome to St Giles CE Aided Primary School, Matlock
Mrs Suzanne Forster
Welcome to St. Giles Church of England Primary School in the community of Starkholmes above the town of Matlock in the beautiful Peak District.
I am very proud to be the Acting Headteachers at St. Giles, leading the school onwards and upwards to be the best it can be. After a turbulent year, our recent Ofsted report confirms that we are on the road to great things! Our children are happy and thoughtful and make good progress in their learning. We have superb grounds, a lovely school building, small classes and staff who take pleasure in supporting the children in every respect to help them to become well-rounded individuals and make the most of their lives. As a voluntary aided school, our Christian ethos underpins everything we do.
I hope you will enjoy your visit to our website. St Giles is a school that values standards and achievement. We are extremely proud of our pupils at St Giles who are supported in their learning by dedicated staff in a thriving learning environment, working in partnership with governors, parents and our PTFA.
I encourage you to browse around our website and to add comments to our Guestbook. You will find details of school day, school events, activities that serve to enliven the curriculum, alongside information about our after school clubs and extra curricular activities.
We continually strive to improve our website and would welcome your comments/suggestions. Questions can be sent on the Enquiry button and moderated comments can be published on the website using the Guestbook button."
